As a loyal, enthusiastic Reformation shopper for over a decade, when I heard the news that a brick-and-morter store was opening in early 2026 in my Raleigh, North Carolina neighborhood, I was thrilled to say the least. Not having a store near me to shop at certainly hasn’t stopped me from placing very frequent orders over the years, and at this point, I’m pretty skilled at figuring out what sizes I need and how something will look and feel in person. But several of my local friends have told me that they prefer to see something IRL before purchasing, and therefore don’t have a closet filled with Reformation pieces—yet.
The store isn’t even open yet, but I’m already getting questions about what to buy when it does, as my Ref obsession is no secret to those who know me. Many people still think of Reformation primarily for dresses, and while, yes, their dresses are amazing, other categories are equally strong, and those less-obvious, IYKYK ones are where I’m steering my friends.
