Britney Spears sparked romance rumors with a mystery man named Brandon Walker when she returned from a recent getaway in Cabo, but what’s really going on between them?
“Brandon Walker is a bodyguard,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. “They are not romantically involved.”
Spears, 44, was spotted arriving at LAX with Walker, who is also a fitness influencer, on Monday, December 15, following her birthday celebration in Mexico, as seen in photos published by Page Six. Walker sported a white shirt and denim jeans, while Spears opted for a pink off-the-shoulder top, black shorts and a wide-brimmed hat.
However, the most eye-catching part of the “Gimme More” singer’s outfit was her other accessories: a toy baby carrier and a gold ring on that finger.
According to the source, Spears carried these items with her “on purpose.”
“The baby gear and ring were just letting her fans know that she still wants more kids and is hoping to find love again,” the insider tells Us. “She bought the baby gear in Cabo, it was a deliberate signal/sign to her fans. She did it on purpose. She got the ring in Cabo, too.”
Britney shares sons Sean, 20, and Jayden, 19, with ex-husband Kevin Federline. Following her divorce from Federline, 47, in 2007 after three years of marriage, Spears tied the knot with Sam Asghari in 2022. The pair later split in 2023 and finalized their divorce in 2024.
The source also cleared up rumors surrounding another tattooed mystery man spotted with Spears during a yacht excursion to Baja California Sur, Mexico, on December 7. Though the Crossroads star claimed in a since-deleted Instagram post that the man was “not a boyfriend” but her “cousin,” the insider says this isn’t the case.

“The guy who she was with, is a guy named Ali, and is a life coach and a friend who has been there for her during some difficult times. During those times he helped her not to worry as much and made her feel at ease,” the source explains. “They are just friends and nothing more.”
The insider adds, “A few of her childhood friends visited her in Cabo for a few days.”
Spears headed to Cabo in early December to ring in her 44th birthday. According to the insider, the pop star “mainly spent time going to the spa, relaxing, reading, doing yoga, working out, watching movies, shopping [and] pampering herself.”
Now, the source says, Spears is “feeling great, and her Christmas tree is up.”
Us reached out to reps for Spears for comment.
Spears’ birthday celebrations also included a reunion with longtime friend Paris Hilton and her kids, son Phoenix, nearly 3, and daughter London, 2, whom Hilton, 44, shares with husband Carter Reum.
“Paris is such a stunning mom… most moms act extremely weird and uncomfortable if you take real pleasure in bonding!!!! Good lord, I think the nanny was offended because I took over the room instantly… they didn’t see her again for the next 6 hours!!!!” Spears wrote via a since-deleted Instagram post on December 12, sharing a video of the kids dressed as Peter Pan characters.
Spears continued, “My relationship with little Phoenix was quite intense he actually let me hold him forever and he held my chest and looked up to me and his stunning mamma was miraculously so beautiful in letting me hold him for so long … I’m so proud of Paris for being such a strong, beautiful mother!!!!!!! And thank you sexy lady for visiting me on my birthday!!! You already know I love you sis!!!!”
