Fans will soon be able to stream James Cameron‘s new concert film on Paramount+. Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D), featuring Billie Eilish, will premiere exclusively in the U.S. on August 6.
Directed and produced by Cameron and Eilish, the concert film debuted in theaters as a limited release on May 8, 2026. Filmed during Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft World Tour, the concert film was well received by critics. It features live performances of some of her biggest hits such as “Bad Guy,” “What Was I Made For?,” “Happier Than Ever,” “BIRDS OF A FEATHER,” and “when the party’s over.”
Variety called it “a concert film that doesn’t look and feel like other concert films. It’s a true experience, because of a combination of the show itself and the way that Cameron has filmed it.” RogerEbert.com described it as “One of the best concert films of recent vintage.” Empire called it “a concert movie made for everyone.”
What to expect from James Cameron’s Billie Eilish concert film?
Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D) was shot during Eilish’s sold-out concerts at Manchester’s Co-op Live. The film features both concert performances and backstage footage, including scenes with the American singer and her brother, Finneas.
James Cameron also used advanced 3D technology to make the concert experience more immersive. By doing so, he brings viewers closer to the stage while presenting the performances from multiple angles.
The film is the latest addition to the list of music-related films offered by Paramount+, including Better Man, EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert, Stans, Uncharted, Let the Canary Sing, and LOLLA: The Story of Lollapalooza. It gives fans another chance to enjoy the concert if they missed it in theaters.
