Grant, who went there with his daughter and her friend described how he and Kelce bonded and enjoyed the show thoroughly. Swift’s The Eras Tour, which commenced last year, graced multiple cities in the UK around June and August 2024. One of the locations was Wembley Stadium in London, which witnessed the presence of multiple high-profile celebrities, including Greta Gerwig, Tom Cruise, and Hugh Grant. The Notting Hill actor recently recalled an amusing memory from Swift’s concert, involving her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
In an interview with NME, Grant revealed that his daughter, a big fan of Swift, aspired to attend the concert. So, he let his team know and asked them if they could make some ticket arrangements. To his surprise, Swift and her team invited them to the show at Wembley Stadium.
Grant explained that while his daughter and her friend were vibing to the concert, he took the meantime to hang around with the Kansas Chief City player in the VIP area. He further added, “We were doing Tequila shots. We got absolutely smashed.” He went on to mention that he had a lot of fun with Kelce.
Grant enjoyed the concert so much that he gave high praise to Swift on his X (formerly Twitter) account after the event. He posted, “Dear @taylorswift13 , You have an incredible show, an amazing and very hospitable team, and an excellent if gigantic boyfriend (#tequilashots.). Thanks so much from one aging London boy, wife, and thrilled 8-year-old #halfgirlhalfbracelet.” Being a huge Grant fan, Swift was quick to respond to his tweet with a proud message.
