You’ve probably seen some troubling headlines about The Flash star Ezra Miller over the last few years.
In 2020, a disturbing video of them seemingly choking a fan went viral. They were not charged for the alleged choking incident.
Then, in March 2022, the actor was arrested for disorderly conduct and harassment in Hawaii.
According to the police report, “Miller became agitated while patrons at the bar began singing karaoke. Miller began yelling obscenities and at one point grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke (disorderly conduct offense) and later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts (harassment offense). The bar owner asked Miller to calm down several times to no avail.”
And earlier this month, the actor was charged with felony burglary in Vermont. According to the police report, Ezra went into an “unoccupied dwelling” and stole several bottles of alcohol from the home.
Since these incidents, Ezra has not issued any sort of statement or apology.
Well on Tuesday morning, their team provided a statement from Ezra to Variety addressing the incidents.
“Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment,” Ezra said.
“I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior,” the statement continued.
“I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe, and productive stage in my life.”
