HBO has made the whole promotional film for its upcoming adaptation of the immensely famous video game with the same name, The Last of Us, accessible to view online. The series will be based on the video game of the same name. The clip was shown for the very first time to the general public for the first time during a presentation that took place at Brazil’s CCXP (Comic Con Experience), which has become a genuine dumping ground for exclusives and surprises. On January 15, 2023, the broadcast of the pilot episode of the series is scheduled to take place. The much-anticipated first comprehensive look not only gives us a glimpse of the enormous scale of the show, but it also gives us a reasonable idea of the connection between the characters of Joel, played by Pedro Pascal, and Ellie, played by Bella Ramsey. This first look has been a long time coming, but it has finally arrived.
Pedro Pascal stars as Joel, a man who is “tormented by previous tragedy and failure” in the television series The Last of Us, which airs on HBO. He is tasked with travelling across a continent decimated by a virus while also guarding a young woman who is considered to be humanity’s last best hope. Ellie is played by Bella Ramsey, who is described as “a 14-year-old orphan who has never known anything but a ravaged planet and who struggles to balance her instinct for anger and defiance with her need for connection and belonging… as well as the newfound reality that she may be the key to saving the world.” Tess is played by Anna Torv, who is described as “a smuggler and hardened survivor in a post-pandemic world.” Tommy is played by Gabriel.
The Last of Us is a video game that was developed by Naughty Dog in collaboration with Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions, Word Games, and The Mighty Mint. In addition to Carolyn Strauss and Evan Wells of Naughty Dog, Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan of PlayStation Productions, and Mazin, Druckmann acts as an executive producer on this project.
