After years of false starts, The Crow is finally coming back to life with a brand new movie from director Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman, Ghost in the Shell), with Bill Skarsgård (IT) leading the cast as Eric Draven and singer/actor FKA Twigs co-starring. THR updates on the project tonight, reporting that Danny Huston (30 Days of Night) has signed on.
“Details of Huston’s character were not revealed,” THR notes.
The Crow reboot is finally happening for real this time, as The Hollywood Reporter also notes that the film is “now weeks-deep in production in the Czech Republic.”
Zach Baylin (King Richard) is writing the script, with the new movie of course based on James O’Barr’s original graphic novel that spawned a previous feature film franchise.
In the 1994 movie starring the late Brandon Lee, Eric Draven’s fiancée is killed alongside Draven, setting the film’s revenge storyline into motion. It spawned a handful of sequels.
