The official trailer for Saw X debuted during a special Midsummer Scream panel tonight, and the good news for the rest of us is that the Saw X trailer has also made its way online.
Tobin Bell and Shawnee Smith are both back for the upcoming new franchise sequel Saw X, which Lionsgate will unleash in theaters on September 29, 2023.
Revealed during the Midsummer Scream panel tonight, Saw X will be the longest movie in the franchise, which means that it’s longer than the 1 hour, 48 minute runtime of Saw III. It was also made clear during the event that this is very much Jigsaw’s movie. “John is the protagonist in this movie…This is John Kramer’s story as a human” – producer Oren Koules noted.
But enough talking. Watch the official Saw X trailer below!
And make sure to watch until the very, very end…
The cast for Saw X also includes Renata Vaca (“Midnight Family”), Paulette Hernandez (“Crown of Tears”), Joshua Okamoto (“Control-Z”), Octavio Hinojosa (Come Play With Me), Synnøve Macody Lund (Ragnarok), Steven Brand (The Sandman) and Michael Beach (Dahmer).
Lionsgate teases, “The return of Tobin Bell to the franchise furthers Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures’ goal of a film that captures everything Saw fans love about the franchise, while also keeping them guessing with all-new traps and a new mystery to solve.”
“John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is back for the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s final games.”
“Set between the events of Saw I and II, a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. The infamous killer returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through devious, deranged, and ingenious traps.”
