An ancient evil lies in wait behind the canvas in Federico Zampaglione’s The Well. This haunting new supernatural horror film follows an art restorer who travels to a remote Italian village to work on a medieval painting, unaware that her task may unleash a terrifying curse.
Iperuranio Film has announced The Well will make its North American premiere at Screamfest LA on October 12th, after first debuting at Sitges Film Festival.
The Well stars Lauren LaVera (Terrifier 2), as Lisa Gray, a budding art restorer, who travels to a small Italian village to bring a medieval painting back to its former glory, unaware of the danger that she may unleash. Starring alongside LaVera is Claudia Gerini (Diabolik, Love and Bullets, John Wick: Chapter 2), Giovanni Lombardo Radice (City of the Living Dead), Taylor Zaudtke (Sadistic Intentions), Linda Zampaglione (Time Is Up), Jonathan Dylan King (From Scratch), Lorenzo Renzi (Romanzo Criminale), Gianluigi Calvani (The New Pope), Yassine Fadel (FBI: International), Melanie Gaydos, Stefano Martinelli and newcomer Courage Oviawe.
The film is an Iperuranio Film production, directed by Zampaglione, written by Zampaglione and Stefano Masi, and produced by Masi. The key crew includes cinematographer Andrea Arnone, SFX artist Carlo Diamantini, costume designer Antonella Balsamo, and production designer Blazej Wasiak. Jinga Films is handling international sales.
Horror fans can catch the North American premiere of this supernatural horror film at the TCL Chinese Theatre, Screen 4 on Thursday, October 12 at 9:00 PM PST during Screamfest LA. The Well promises to deliver an eerie mythological tale of an ancient curse unleashed.
