Tobin Bell is back for Saw X, which is headed to theaters this Halloween. But when the hell does the marketing campaign begin, you ask?!
Well, the official Saw channels on social media have shared the logo for Saw X this afternoon, while also teasing an appearance at the Midsummer Scream event in July.
“Put an X on your calendar. #SawX comes to Midsummer Scream the weekend of July 28th,” the official Facebook page for the 10th installment lets us know this afternoon.
Our best guess is that the trailer for Saw X will either be debuting at Midsummer Scream or releasing shortly before the event, but that’s pure speculation at this time.
UPDATE: Here’s the official word from Midsummer Scream…
One of the most iconic horror film series comes to Midsummer Scream for the first time ever this year, as Lionsgate brings SAW to the world’s biggest horror convention.
On the floor of the Long Beach Convention Center, an incredible SAW experience invites Midsummer Scream guests to explore the horrific, unnerving, and unforgettable world of the SAW movies. It’s open to guests all three days of the event. And on Saturday, July 29, special guests who helped bring SAW to the screen will take part in a panel presentation that offers exclusive mind-bending glimpses into the upcoming film SAW X, coming to movie theaters this October from Lionsgate.
The world’s largest Halloween and horror convention, Midsummer Scream is returning to Long Beach from July 28-30, 2023. Head over to the official website to learn more.
The cast for Saw X also includes Renata Vaca (“Midnight Family”), Paulette Hernandez (“Crown of Tears”), Joshua Okamoto (“Control-Z”), Octavio Hinojosa (Come Play With Me), Synnøve Macody Lund (Ragnarok), Steven Brand (The Sandman) and Michael Beach (Dahmer).
From Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures, the new film is slated for release on October 27, 2023.
Lionsgate teases, “The return of Tobin Bell to the franchise furthers Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures’ goal of a film that captures everything Saw fans love about the franchise, while also keeping them guessing with all-new traps and a new mystery to solve.”
Franchise stalwart Kevin Greutert, who directed the highly regarded Saw VI and Saw: The Final Chapter, and edited Saw I through V and Jigsaw, is directing the project.
