Japanese developer IchimatsuSeika has joined a busy October for horror gamers with the announcement that their third-person psychological horror adventure BAN: The Prologue of GUCHA GUCHA will be getting an October 23 release on Steam. The announcement was accompanied by the release of new key art for the game, illustrated by renowned horror manga artist, Suehiro Maruo.
“BAN: The Prologue of GUCHA GUCHA presents an unearthly experience that can tear your heart into pieces,”” said developer and VTuber Ichimatsu Suzuka, whose previous titles include GO HOME and YASO curse of soirée. “As an avid horror enjoyer, I always wanted to create games that evoke the deepest fears, and I can’t wait to see fans of fear explore our creepy world!”
The story takes place in Utaga, a town in Japan, centering around college student Garasu Yuki and the unsolved mysteries around Mount Utaga-Yama. After a strange creature assaults and kidnaps her beloved dog Chocolat, Yuki has only one lead: a slithering entity beneath the ground. To reunite with Chocolat, Yuki ventures into the dark depths of Mount Utaga as night falls. However, Yuki has a limited amount of time to search Mount Utaga. She must find Chocolat before 6pm.
As the story unfolds, the game shifts to a young boy carrying his little sister through endless, identical corridors. The player must dodge the lethal attacks of a blood-soaked pursuer wielding a Japanese sword while searching for an escape route. As the clock winds down, you must help the boy and his sister navigate a way out for even the slimmest chance at survival.
