It’s been over a year since Shiro Games first launched Dune: Spice Wars into Early Access on Steam, and they’re still cranking out exciting updates. The latest is the game’s biggest update yet in the Conquest Update, adding high replay value with the addition of Conquest Mode and its unique scenarios, perks, and challenges.
The 4th major Early Access update for Spice Wars (with the next with the next being the full launch update), Conquest Mode encourages players to experiment with new playstyles for each of the major houses, expanding the possibilities with new unique perks as you respond to challenging scenarios. Each run plays out differently, and takes about 10 hours to complete.
In addition, the update includes expanded tutorials, making for an easier introduction for newcomers. There have also been major balancing fixes and additions on almost every aspect of the game, with improvements to spying, an assassination overhaul, economy improvements, and a rework to nukes and resource management.
Lastly, the Conquest Update includes new regions, a new unique building for every faction, quality of life improvements, improved UI, and nine new music tracks from composer Jesper Kyd.
Currently, you can buy the Early Access version of Dune: Spice Wars with a 20% discount until June 29. No date has been set for exiting Early Access as of yet.
Meanwhile, Denis Villeneuve‘s Dune: Part Two will arrive in theatres on November 3.
