Just when you thought you’d outgrown your fear of the dark, Mickey vs. Winnie looks to corrupt your cherished childhood memories. This upcoming horror film gives the genre treatment to a pair of iconic figures like never before, ensuring you’ll never look at these former symbols of innocence the same way again.
Mickey vs. Winnie is about to flip the script on these squeaky-clean childhood mascots. Forget the cheerful, family-friendly versions you know – this movie is bringing the blood, guts, and pure terror as it pits these two characters against each other in a no-holds-barred battle to the death. The movie takes the now-public-domain characters from A. A. Milne’s ‘Winnie-the-Pooh’ books and Mickey Mouse from the 1920s Steamboat Willie cartoon and pits them against each other in a bloody duel where only one can survive.
“Horror fans call for the thrill of witnessing icons like the new Aliens and Avengers sharing the screen. While licensing nightmares make such crossovers rare, Mickey Vs Winnie serves as our tribute to that thrilling fantasy,” shared director Glenn Douglas Packard.
The twisted premise takes us back to the 1920s, where two escaped convicts stumble into a cursed forest and are transformed into horrifying versions of Mickey and Winnie. Centuries later, a group of unsuspecting friends venture into those same woods, only to find themselves trapped in a nightmare as the monstrous, mutated icons emerge to terrorize them.
Audiences can expect to see Mickey and Winnie engage in a gruesome, no-holds-barred fight that paints the forest floor red. This isn’t your typical cartoon scuffle – this is a horror spectacle that’s going to redefine how you look at these characters forever.
“We’re thrilled to unveil this unique take to horror fans. The Mickey Mouse featured in our film is unlike any iteration audiences have encountered before. Our portrayal doesn’t involve characters donning basic masks. Instead, we present deeply transformed, live-action horror renditions of these iconic figures, weaving together elements of innocence and malevolence. After experiencing the intense scenes we’ve crafted, you’ll never look at Mickey the same way again,” said producer Anthony Pernicka of iHorror.
So, get ready for the most unexpected, blood-soaked showdown of the year. This is a nightmare on Hundred Acre Wood that’s bound to leave a lasting impression.
While Mickey vs. Winnie is currently in pre-production, Packard and his team are already hard at work bringing this demented vision to life.
