The datamining leak from last month turned out to be true. NetherRealm Studios head Ed Boon officially announced during MK1‘s SDCC panel that the upcoming Khaos Reigns DLC for Mortal Kombat 1 will bring in guest characters Ghostface, Conan the Barbarian and the T-1000. Along with the three guest characters, Sektor, Cyrax and Noob Saibot will also be part of the Khaos Reigns DLC. IGN broke the news, along with showing off the lineup of characters.
In keeping with Mortal Kombat 1‘s theme of a new timeline, Khaos Reigns will have human forms of Sektor and Cyrax instead of their cyborg incarnations. Meanwhile, at the panel, Noob Saibot was referred to as Bi-Han, the first Sub-Zero that was killed in the original Mortal Kombat.
While it appears that Robert Patrick has provided his likeness to the T-1000, it’s unclear if he’s lending his voice. Likewise, it’s unclear if Arnold Schwarzenegger has done the same for Conan, or who will be providing the voice of Ghostface. If you’re wondering, Chris Cox did the Terminator’s voice for Mortal Kombat 12, while Filip Ivanovic did Ghostface’s lines for Behaviour Interactive’s Dead by Daylight.
No word yet on when Khaos Reigns will be arriving. Mortal Kombat 1 is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
