It has been speculated that an Extended Edition of Halloween Ends will be released in the not too distant future. This would be similar to the Halloween Kills Extended Edition in that it would include additional features to the theatrical release of the Blumhouse film as well as the possibility of an alternate ending.
Since die-hard fans of the Halloween franchise did not respond positively to Halloween Ends, it only makes sense that the production company will try to squeeze more profit out of beloved fans by offering an edition of the film that will include an alternate ending for Halloween Ends or even a collection of alternate endings. In the days leading up to the release of the film, various news outlets reported that there are multiple endings to the film.
The theatrical version of Halloween Ends is very somber and concludes the franchise with the death of Michael Myers; however, there is a theory that the new ending in the extended cut will reveal that Laurie Strode had something evil in her eyes during the final scene where she is sitting on her porch, which was implied during the film when Michael transferred his powers to the new killer Corey Cunningham.
Halloween Ends is a slasher film that has been released in the United States in 2022. It is the sequel to Halloween Kills (2021), the thirteenth film in the Halloween franchise, and the final film in the trilogy of sequels that began with the 2018 film, which is a direct continuation of the 1978 film. Halloween Ends is marketed as the final film in the Halloween franchise.
Due to the “tight schedule,” the simultaneous production of Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends never materialized. In March of that year, 2020, Blum announced that shooting will occur over the summer. The epidemic caused production to be covertly postponed. The plan was for production to start in 2021 in Wilmington, North Carolina. According to an August 2021 announcement by Courtney, principal photography will commence on January 10th, 2022. Production on what was then titled Cave Dweller began on January 19, 2022, in Savannah, Georgia.
On October 14, 2022, Halloween Ends was made available to the public. It had been scheduled to be released on October 15, 2021, however the release date was pushed back because of the epidemic. After its first run in theatres, the movie will be made available to watch on Peacock forty-five days later. However, they decided to release it on Peacock on the same day, and it made its debut at twelve in the morning.
What do you think about the possibility of Halloween Ends Extended Version? Could it save an otherwise badly received movie or will it just prolong the suffering of movie fans?
