Ghostbusters actress Jennifer Runyon passed away on Friday after a brief battle with cancer. She was 65.
Runyon is best known for her small but pivotal role in Ghostbusters as the female student who participates in Venkman’s ESP study, which helps establish Bill Murray’s cynical character in the first scene.
Runyon made her film debut in the 1980 slasher To All a Goodnight. Her other genre credits include Carnosaur and Silent Night, Bloody Night 2: Revival.
She also appeared in “Charles in Charge,” The Falcon and the Snowman, 18 Again, Up the Creek, “Quantum Leap,” and A Very Brady Christmas as Cindy Brady.
Runyon married assistant director Todd Corman (Killer Clowns from Outer Space, Swamp Thing) in 1991. They have two children: a son Wyatt and a daughter Bayley.
“All of the best parts of me came from you,” Bayley wrote on Instagram. “I would give anything for one more day together.”
