Well, that didn’t take long. After announcing Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist last week, publisher Binary Haze Interactive and developers Live Wire and Adglobe have announced an Early Access launch date of March 26th on Steam for the gothic Metroidvania. Versions for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 will follow later this year.
“We cannot thank our online community enough for the feedback and support they provided for Ender Lilies,” says Hiroyuki Kobayashi, CEO, Binary Haze Interactive. “Ender Magnolia will evolve with the help of our amazing players, and we look forward to this new journey with them into the Land of Fumes.”
The plan for Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist‘s Early Access launch will include one village and the first four areas of the game, along with unique enemies and bosses in each area. The Early Access version will also include the core action and skills of the main gameplay, as well as the shop mechanic.
The sequel to the critically-acclaimed dark fantasy metroidvania, Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist takes place decades after Ender Lilies and its Rain of Death. A new journey begins in the Land of Fumes, where the kingdom’s desire for conquest led to the creation of the Homunculi, machine-like artificial lifeforms. A recent resource-harvesting mission gone awry caused toxic vapors to emerge from underground, driving both man and machine to feral madness.
As the Homonculi devolve into dangerous creatures, players take on the role of Lilac, an “Attuner” with the power to purify those infected by the fumes, who must save the kingdom. Aiding Lilac friendly machines and spirits who fight in Lilac’s stead, you’ll face off again mechanized legions of lunging carcasses, cannonball-firing corpses and chainsaw-wielding goblins.
