Fede Álvarez’s Alien: Romulus hits theaters this weekend. If you’ve been following along to the Halloweenies all year, you’re no doubt a scholar of the franchise and ready to roll with Romulus. But, if you haven’t been following along, you’re in for a little hardcore history on the series — a deep dive into the depths of hell nearly 9 months in the making.
Spanning over 20 hours, the Halloweenies have dissected every entry in the Alien franchise. Some even have multiple episodes: There are three dedicated to Ridley Scott’s 1979 original and David Fincher‘s Alien3 and two for James Cameron‘s Aliens, Jean-Pierre Jeunet‘s Alien: Resurrection, and Scott’s Prometheus. The rest are just as exhaustive with very little left on the Medlab floor. They even included both 2004’s Alien vs. Predator and 2007’s AvP: Requiem in the midst of online ranking erasure.
Stream every episode below and stay tuned for their Romulus coverage on Monday. You can also subscribe via Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, Spotify, RadioPublic, Acast, Google Podcasts, and RSS. Want more? Catch up by revisiting their essential episodes on past franchises Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Scream, The Evil Dead, and Chucky.
You can also become a member of their Patreon, The Rewind, for even more hilariously irreverent commentaries (e.g. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Darkman) and one-off deep dives on your favorite rentals (e.g. Poltergeist, Manhunter, Phantasm). Each month promises something new and unexpected from the wildest corners of the genre.
