This week’s episode of “Chucky” Season 2, titled “Doll on Doll,” was easily one of the best hours of the series to date, dropping some major bombshells and a couple huge payoffs.
Warning: THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS SPOILERS!
For starters, “Doll on Doll” ushered in the surprising reveal that not only is Tiffany inhabiting the body of Jennifer Tilly due to the events of Seed of Chucky nearly 20 years ago, but Jennifer Tilly now resides within the body of the Tiffany doll! As you may recall, the two were swapped in Seed of Chucky, but this is the first we’ve seen of the Tilly-infused Tiffany doll.
“Doll on Doll” also revealed that the Glen/Glenda doll is still in Tiffany’s possession, and she has finally made the decision to gift it to her flesh and blood child, Glen. Tiffany’s cover has been completely blown and she’s been forced to reveal to her children that they both used to reside within the Glen/Glenda doll, which should answer some big questions for the duo.
And what about that cliffhanger tease at the end of the episode? Devon and Lexy found their way out to a creepy cabin in the woods where they met “The Colonel,” yet another wildly different version of the Chucky doll. This one is bald and wears a necklace of earrings around its neck, and the episode’s final moments also revealed that Andy Barclay is still alive.
To recap, Good Chucky, Colonel Chucky, and Real Chucky are now in play, with Hulk Chucky becoming a Christ-like figure in “Doll on Doll.” On top of all the different Chucky dolls running around, the Tiffany doll is back in action, as is the Glen/Glenda doll and a wide array of characters including Jake, Devon, Lexy, Andy, Nica, Glen, Glenda, and Tiffany Valentine.
Needless to say, these last three episodes of “Chucky” Season 2 are sure to be some of the wackiest you’ve seen on your television all year. And we cannot wait to see what’s next.
