I really enjoy these Will Trent two-part mysteries. After that emotional cliffhanger, nearly everyone felt for Faith because she’s so unlucky in love.
She tends to fall for “bad boys,” and we had hoped she found a genuine connection, but then Will and Ormewood revealed that Malcolm was one of the bank robbers.
While she was horrified, Faith was still a cop at heart, and on Will Trent Season 4 Episode 6, she wanted to use her connection with Malcolm to the GBI’s advantage to gain intel.

The problem was that Faith hadn’t counted on how much she cared about Malcolm, or that this would end with them apart.
Meanwhile, Angie planned a special romantic surprise for Seth with Franklin’s help, but Will and Faith had difficulty with it because of their current life issues.
Faith Got In So Deep That She Cared About Malcolm
While Faith Mitchell was a dedicated GBI agent, she also longed for love, and “You’re Not That Person Anymore” highlighted how challenging it was to balance both.
She knew she was their best chance of trapping Malcolm, yet she kept falling for him. They made a sexy couple, and Malcom understood her fascination with “Say Anything.”

If he weren’t a criminal, they had awesome chemistry. It was difficult at times to discern whether Faith wanted to pursue justice or spend more time with Malcolm.
She had never been romanced or pampered like that, and it crushed her to realize it wasn’t real.
I loved that Will gave her a necklace with a video device so that they could learn the players and the other intel, but it was hard with so many people suspicious of her.
I didn’t trust Winston Terry. While Clinton may have been the trio’s in to Biocentra Pharmaceuticals, Winston seemed possessive of Malcolm.
He acted as if not only did Faith interfere with their mission, but he also didn’t want Malcolm to move on. He practically forced Malcolm to choose, and that’s when things got chaotic.

Faith looked angry that Ormewood and Franklin burst in so quickly, even when it was part of the plan. There was nothing Faith hated more than being the damsel in distress, and part of her enjoyed Malcolm defending her to Winston.
Faith and Ormewood fans appreciated the tension and drama as he handcuffed her, whispering to make her reaction good, since they had to make it seem like she was involved too.
Unfortunately for him, Faith looked genuinely upset. She’d fallen for Malcolm and wanted to help him get out with as little damage as possible when she learned he went against the pharmaceutical company because his son died after taking Evalia.
That story has been told on so many procedurals, yet I felt for him, especially when I saw a young child’s artwork.

That affected Faith as a mom, and it was harder for her, so she let him because she cared.
It was too late because Winston was a snake and figured out Faith’s true identity. I appreciated that Malcolm never strayed into that dark and refused to harm Faith. There was some good in him.
Faith has been captured before and knew how to escape without assistance, but we loved seeing what a badass she was.
I appreciated how she refused to let Ormewood shoot him. She held her ground, saying Malcolm had to be arrested, but you could tell it hurt her.
And the fact that they still embraced like that said it all right down to Ormewood’s wistful look. He wanted to protect Faith and take away the pain, and he couldn’t yet.

Angie Proved How Much She Loved Seth
While “You’re Not That Person Anymore” seemed beautiful, I wondered whether Angie had rushed into marriage to prove herself to Seth after hearing what his sisters had said.
I also found it amusing that out of all her friends, she enlisted Franklin for help. Again, I feel jipped that we only saw Angie practicing her vows and missed out on her selecting the location or her wedding gown.
If she’s only getting married once, it should have had a little more hoopla. It also seemed like the original vows were more of a trip down memory lane for her and Will.
It meant a great deal that Will could finally acknowledge how much Angie had changed and give his blessing.

I loved that Angie could plan her wedding at the park where she and her husband met. Those twinkling lights were gorgeous and romantic.
I’ll always hold a special spot in my heart for Will and Angie, but I’m excited that she’s moved on to something healthier and that she admitted Seth changed her for the better. Those personal vows were perfect.
Family Was Essential During Celebrations and Meltdowns
Will Trent has leaned into the “found family” dynamic even more during Season 4, and we love seeing so many of the friendships.
While we would have loved to have the rest of the team attend Angie’s wedding, it meant a lot that Franklin officiated, since he’s seen her grow and has rooted for her happiness.
They have a special bond. He’s her family in every way that matters.

I felt bad that Will and Faith were bitter about not being included, but it would’ve been awkward with Will there.
I’m relieved that Angie and Will can be friends, but things will always be a little awkward.
I appreciated how Will comforted Faith, knowing firsthand how challenging it was to arrest someone you care about.
Faith genuinely cared about Malcolm, and Will understood this even better than Amanda, although she tried to comfort her.
Will and Faith have always been one of the best parts about Will Trent, and now their failed dating relationships are another thing they share.

I love how Will knew that coffee and breakfast sandwiches were the way to cheer Faith up.
Over to you, Will Trent Fanatics. Were you surprised by the outcome of this case? Did you expect a Seth and Angie wedding?
