9-1-1 has featured many unforgettable emergencies over the years.
Speaking of memorable emergencies, have we ever seen a car almost entirely covered by cinder blocks on the Los Angeles freeway?
In this exclusive sneak peek from 9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 12, the 118 is called to the scene after a car is nearly buried by cinder blocks on the Los Angeles freeway.

When they arrive, they find a couple pinned inside following the devastating accident, and from there, it will be a race against the clock to get them out.
As the scene unfolds, it’s unclear how the pair found themselves in their predicament. However, things look very grave by the time the 118 arrives.
If you’ve ever picked up a cinder block, you know they are extremely heavy, and it’s a miracle that the man trapped inside is even alert enough to move some of the blocks off himself. Given the way the car is wedged under the truck, extraction for the team will be tough, but challenging rescues are nothing new for the 118.
As you’ll see in the clip, it won’t be an easy rescue.
It will take all hands on deck to move enough blocks to reach the unconscious woman, as the whole team works together on this tough task.
This emergency also kicks off the much-anticipated 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Nashville crossover, which sends Buck and Eddie to Nashville to compete in the national firefighting games.
Anyone at the 118 would be a great representative for the station and the department, but Buck and Eddie have been a unit for years, and the trust they have in one another would serve them well in any skills-based competition.
But as news breaks about heading to Nashville, Buck and Maddie will be hit with major personal news. And when unexpected information arrives, it’s easy to fear the worst.

The 118, and their families, have been through the wringer over and over again, and considering this is 9-1-1, any time the good times start rolling, something is liable to come along and throw it all into chaos.
The opening hour of the crossover looks like one you won’t want to miss, so make sure you don’t, and make sure you stay tuned in for 9-1-1: Nashville right after.
Buck and Eddie in Nashville will certainly be quite the sight!
Check out the exclusive 9-1-1 sneak peek above and share your thoughts on what excites you most, including hopes for the crossover event.
