Rachel Leviss (formerly known as “Raquel” on Vanderpump Rules) is back on the dating scene. Following her highly publicized scandal with former co-star Tom Sandoval — which became known as “Scandoval” — Rachel, 29, has found happiness with investment CEO Matthew Dunn. However, a rep clarified that Matthew and Rachel are only casually dating, not in a serious relationship.
The former reality star’s publicist, Juliette Harris, told Entertainment Tonight that Rachel and Matthew are not labeling their relationship at the moment. The outlet also noted this is more of a “situationship” rather than a full romance. A source also claimed the “two met through friends and have been enjoying their time together.”
Earlier this year, Rachel explained on her podcast, “Rachel Goes Rogue,” that she wasn’t planning on dating for about a year in order to prioritize herself.
“I’m not dating for a year, and in doing that, I’m just focusing on myself,” she said in January. “And after this talk, focusing on my emotions that come up for me. Like, what are my own needs that I need met? And not adding an additional person into the equation, so that it is just focused on me and other people as well my friends and family and the people that are in my inner circle that are safe friends.”
In February, Rachel reflected on her past affair with Tom, 40. She admitted to thinking she was “in love” with him but discovered that their “connection was not love.”
“At first, you just think this person is so in love with you, they adore you and they’re giving you all this attention,” she noted. “Before you know it, you’re so emotionally attached to this person that you can’t leave. … I stayed in unhealthy relationships for far too long.”
In 2023, Rachel found herself in the middle of a brutal firestorm between Tom and his then-girlfriend Ariana Madix. In March of that year, Ariana, 38, discovered a sexual video of Rachel on Tom’s phone, confirming that they had been hooking up while he was still with Ariana. The drama played out at the end of VPR‘s tenth season.
Over the summer of 2023, the cast members of the Bravo series reunited to film season 11. However, Rachel did not return to the show after checking herself into a mental rehabilitation facility to focus on her mental health.
