Usher just addressed the fan campaign for him to headline the next Super Bowl halftime show.
If you missed it, he was a top choice earlier this year in an online debate about who should headline Super Bowl LVIII, with many highlighting his iconic discography and his versatility as an artist and a performer.
Of course, some argued that Usher didn’t quite have enough crossover hits to headline the show, but for the most part, the majority of people seemed to be on his side.
Responding to the calls to perform at the Super Bowl, Usher said he’d definitely be down to do it.
“I think I have a catalog that obviously speaks for itself,” he told Access, “So, to be able to celebrate on that day…it’s obviously about football, but everybody really anticipates the performance. … So, it has always been kind of a bucket list [dream of mine].”
As a longtime Usher fan, I would absolutely be here for it. He’s immensely talented, and he has so many hits from “U Don’t Have to Call” and “You Make Me Wanna…” to “Bad Girl” and “Yeah!” But tell me what you think.
