Two new young royals could play a big part in the future monarchy!
After Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, were tapped to fill in for King Charles III at a big event earlier this week (their first time ever!), their kids Lady Louise Windsor and James, Earl of Wessex could now fill “a vital role in the future” of the Palace, too!
Royal expert Richard Eden told DailyMail.com he thought Louise, 20, and James, 16, could be a huge support for their “cousin Prince William when he eventually succeeds to the throne” — especially now that he won’t have the help of his “top adviser” Prince Harry amid their ongoing feud!

Noting the parents encouraging their kids to “become working royals” would be a “great service” to their country, the journalist added:
“Hopefully, William will realize that a ‘slimmed-down’ monarchy wouldn’t safeguard the institution, as some claim, but would lead to its irrelevance and eventual death. What better way to build on its strengths than with an injection of energy from young people who have had values of public service and duty instilled in them from birth.”
The Firm could certainly benefit from some new young royals stepping up! And it’s not like the Wales’ children will be able to do that for a while!
Similarly, royal historian Gareth Russell also told Us Weekly on Wednesday that having so few working royals may not have been “a mistake” but it certainly was not “intended.” With Harry, Meghan Markle, and Prince Andrew no longer able to help out and Charles and Princess Catherine down for the count amid their cancer treatments, “the cracks [are] turning into craters.” And it’ll only get worse with time!
When Princess Anne, Prince Edward, Duchess Sophie, Queen Camilla, and Charles begin to scale back their duties, “there is going to be a seriously underweight monarchy when potentially you would just have King William and Queen Catherine dealing with it, doing all of it until their children come of age.” That’s way too much work for just them! So the Prince and Princess of Wales are gonna have to lean on the next generation — which has reportedly sparked speculation that Louise, as well as Princess Beatrice, and Princess Eugenie, could be moved into senior working roles, something the historian thinks is necessary because “otherwise it is unsustainable.”
Hmm… Seems like we could be seeing a ton of change in the royal family and SOON! That is, if William or Charles allow it! Do YOU think it would be smart to add more full-time working royals to the mix? Let us know (below)!
