Miley Cyrus’ “Soul Aches” as She Details Losing Her Home in 2018 Amid LA Fires
The Los Angeles wildfires have claimed another life.
The remains of 95-year-old Dalyce Curry—known to her loved ones as “Momma Dee”—were found at her home in Altadena, Calif., after the property was burned down by the Easton Fire, according to her granddaughter Dalyce Kelley.
“We had a great run,” Kelley wrote in a Facebook post Jan. 12, adding that a coroner confirmed the identity of the remains. “She impacted my life in so many ways. This loss is devastating.”
Curry—who acted as an extra in classic films like The Blues Brothers, The 10 Commandments and Lady Sings the Blues—had last been seen Jan. 7 after Kelley dropped her off at home following a stay in the hospital, according to ABC7. When Kelley was able to inspect the home Jan. 10, little remained and her grandmother was nowhere to be found.
“It was total devastation,” Kelley told the outlet. “Everything was gone except her blue Cadillac.”
