Lenny once said that he was going to remain celibate until he was in a serious relationship, and when asked if it was true, he said, “Yes. It’s a spiritual thing. I have become very set in my ways, in the way I live.”
He told the Sunday Times (via People) that a friend offered him the advice: “If you want to be serious about a relationship, go celibate for a few months and figure it out.”
“I was going to do three months, but I was really enjoying the way I was relating to women, and to the feminine within myself,” he said.
But, alas, in 2016, he met Katy Perry and ended his celibacy streak.
He told Vogue in 2019 that he had “a legitimate problem with sex” and decided to abstain to feel closer to God.
“I think sex can cause a lot of pain. Sometimes people have sex because they don’t feel good enough. Because they lack self-worth.”
He told the WTF with Marc Maron podcast (via CNN): “I had some pretty wild, trippy experiences from starving myself of sex and food for that period of time.”

Terry Crews went on a 90-day “sex fast.”
He told ET, “I went on a 90-day sex fast and people were like, ‘Whoa, that’s crazy!’ But let me tell you something: What was so beautiful about that, was it took me to a time when I was 12 years old and I liked a girl and I didn’t know anything about sex. But all I did was give her a flower and say, ‘I like you for who you are.'”
“It was the best. At first, I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is gonna be horrible.’ It was the best thing that we had ever done.”

And lastly, Nick Cannon had a brief brush with celibacy after his eighth child was born.
He said, “My therapist was one of the people who said I should probably be celibate and the reason why is because I had shared that news about Bre being pregnant.”
His celibacy journey lasted a few months (from October to almost the New Year in 2022).
