Tyler, The Creator has pulled out of both Lollapalooza and Outside Lands and has been replaced by Megan Thee Stallion and Sabrina Carpenter.
The ‘Earfquake’ rapper took to his official X/Twitter account to announce that he will no longer be able to perform at the festivals. “I hate saying this but I have to cancel lollapalooza and outside lands,” began his tweet.
He continued: “I made a commitment that I can no longer keep, and that bums me out knowing how excited folks were. That is not sexy at all. please please forgive me or call me names when you see me in person. love.”

Organisers for Lollapalooza revealed that it will be a “Hot girl summer in Chicago” as Megan Thee Stallion will be stepping up and taking over Tyler’s headlining slot on Thursday August 1.
Outside Lands also tweeted that Carpenter will be replacing Tyler at the San Franciscan music festival. “We are excited to announce that @SabrinaAnnLynn will now headline the Lands End stage on Saturday, August 10th! Due to personal reasons, Tyler, the Creator will no longer be performing at Outside Lands,” read the post.
Earlier this year, Tyler brought out Earl Sweatshirt to perform ‘AssMilk’ and ‘RUSTY’ at his Coachella headline set.
The performance saw Earl perform a shortened version of ‘AssMilk’, which is taken from Tyler’s debut mixtape ‘Bastard’ (2009), marking first time the song had been performed live since 2014.
In a four-star review of Tyler, The Creator’s 2024 Coachella headline set, NME shared: “It’s a reflection of the rapper’s cult icon status and a rebuttal to those in his life who didn’t believe in him. “I told n****s I’m gonna have my Coachella one day, and they said, ‘Nope’ – they can all suck this dick right now,” he shares. After tonight, it feels unlikely that anyone will doubt him again.”
In other news, Carpenter has announced her 2024 North American “The Short N’ Sweet Tour” which is set to kick off later this year.
Elsewhere, Megan Thee Stallion recently seemingly responded to an A.I-generated sex tape that uses her likeness.
