Tame Impala are back… with a line of A.P.C. clothing. Kevin Parker has brought a capsule of “psychedelic minimalism” to the Parisian fashion brand, whose founder, Jean Touitou, has been a fan since a tip-off from his daughter. “It struck me as a synthesis of everything I’ve liked since the 1960s, from Soft Machine to Pink Floyd,” Touitou enthused in a press release. “I immediately loved their musical singularity and their deceptively casual style.”
Now that style has been translated into a sustainably sourced capsule of flowing pastel tops, alpaca sweaters, striped corduroy trousers, bucket hats, and shades, as well as sweats that “envelop the body in a cloud-like sensation,” according to a press release. Peek at a snapshot below ahead of the capsule’s release on July 18, and find more on the A.P.C. website.
A.P.C. has previously collaborated with Kanye West and Kid Cudi. The latest Tame Impala studio album, The Slow Rush, landed in February 2020.
