Linda Ronstadt has proudly joined the ranks of cat ladies casting support for Kamala Harris.
Ahead of a rally from Donald Trump scheduled to be held at Linda Ronstadt Hall in her hometown of Tucson, Arizona, the singer took to Instagram to express her disappointment, characterizing the event as a “hate rally.” “Since the building has my name on it, I need to say something,” the Grammy-winning singer shared.
The artist didn’t hold back, saying that she doesn’t “just deplore his toxic politics, his hatred of women, immigrants and people of color, his criminality, dishonesty and ignorance — although there’s that.” She continued, “There is no forgiving or forgetting the heartbreak he caused. Trump first ran for President warning about rapists coming in from Mexico. I’m worried about keeping the rapist out of the White House.”
Ronstadt then turned her attention to Trump’s running mate, J.D. Vance, to reflect on the fact that she raised two adopted children and now lives happily with her cat.
