Keanu Reeves’ home was targeted in two burglary incidents on Wednesday evening and early Thursday morning.
TMZ reports that the LAPD responded to an anonymous call regarding trespassers spotted on Reeves’ Hollywood Hills property around 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening. “Suspects entered the property through the backyard and broke a rear window to gain access,” said LAPD spokesperson Officer Norma Eisenman (via the Los Angeles Times). Police reportedly surveilled the property but did not find any suspects.
According to TMZ, the LAPD returned to the property around 1 a.m. early Thursday morning, responding to an alarm that sounded on the property. Upon reviewing security camera footage, officers reportedly spotted multiple intruders in ski masks gaining access to the property by smashing a window. The suspects were not identified, but they reportedly stole a firearm from the property. It’s unclear whether anything else was stolen from the property. This second incident has not been confirmed by the LAPD.
Reeves was not home at the time of either of these incidents.
This is not the first time that Reeves’ home has been the target of break-in attempts. The Los Angeles Times notes that there were back-to-back break-ins at the property in 2014. And, more recently, Reeves filed a restraining order against a stalker who allegedly trespassed on Reeves’ property six times between November 2022 and January 2023.
