Endurance Music Group has signed hit songwriter-producer Jordan Schmidt to an exclusive, global publishing agreement.
Schmidt’s catalog of hits includes Kane Brown’s “Like I Love Country Music” and the 5x platinum-certified “What Ifs” (featuring Lauren Alaina), as well as Blake Shelton’s “God’s Country,” which earned ACM and CMA single of the year honors and a Grammy nomination. Schmidt is also a writer on Mitchell Tenpenny’s “Drunk Me,” as well as Jason Aldean’s “You Make It Easy” and “Lights Come On.”
Schmidt’s publishing deal with Endurance also includes hundreds of songs written by Schmidt, including recent and forthcoming releases from Brown, Jimmie Allen (also an Endurance Music Group songwriter), Cole Swindell, Ernest and Nelly, as well as songs he also produced on projects for Tenpenny, Tyler Hubbard, and The Band CAMINO. Schmidt’s songs have also been recorded by Morgan Wallen, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Dustin Lynch, Chris Lane, Granger Smith, Chase Rice, Ingrid Andress, Billy Currington, LoCash, One OK Rock, Mickey Guyton, Adam Doleac, Hunter Hayes, Blanco Brown, Caylee Hammack, Noah Cyrus and more.
“I’m excited to call Endurance home,” Schmidt said via a statement. “From our first meeting, I could tell they’re people who understand songwriters and want to have a positive impact on their careers. I can’t wait to get the ball rolling with their incredible team, freak some of them out with my drunken antics at the next company holiday party, and I hope to add to all the great things already happening at Endurance!”
Endurance Music Group president Michael Martin said via a statement, “On behalf of everyone at Endurance, I want to give Jordan a heartfelt welcome to the team. His talent in the writer’s room and his skill as a producer have set the tone for his continued impact on country music. He is a tremendous addition to our creative family, and by joining forces we’ll have endless opportunities on this new journey together.”
Endurance Music Group senior creative director Lauren Funk added, “I’ve been friends with Jordan and his brother Dane for years, and I am so excited to finally have the opportunity to be on their team! Jordan has proven himself as a hit songwriter and producer time and time again. We are thrilled to have him join the Endurance family, and we know the success he has already had is only the beginning.”
A native of Duluth, Minnesota, Schmidt first became an in-demand rock/alternative producer in Minneapolis, working with bands All Time Low, Metro Station, Motion City Soundtrack and Quietdrive. He moved to Nashville in 2012, transitioning from producer to full-time songwriter and signed with Florida Georgia Line’s Tree Vibez Music.
Schmidt currently resides in Nashville with his fiancée, songwriter and artist Renee Blair, along with their golden retriever, Hank. Blair and Schmidt co-wrote “Wait in the Truck,” by HARDY featuring Lainey Wilson, which currently sits at No. 29 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.
