Jane’s Addiction have announced a new single, ‘Imminent Redemption’ – check out the teaser below.
The band debuted the song in May during an intimate show at Bush Hall in London. It marked the first live gig in over 14 years for the classic line-up of Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins and Eric Avery.
Farrell and co. went on to showcase the tune again at their next London date at the Roundhouse in Camden Town. In a five-star review of the concert, NME described it as “a percussive, tribal-inspired belter that is soon to become a classic at their live shows”.
Now, Jane’s Addiction have confirmed that the studio version of ‘Imminent Redemption’ will be released next Wednesday (July 24). They’ve also shared a 14-second snippet of the single, which you can pre-save here.

‘Imminent Redemption’ will serve as Jane’s Addiction’s first official single in over a decade, following on from 2013’s ‘Another Soulmate’. The group’s fourth and most recent album, ‘The Great Escape Artist’, came out in 2011.
They also played a song called ‘True Love’ at a live show last year, but this has yet to be officially shared. Later, frontman Farrell said that working on new Jane’s Addiction material had been “one of the most exciting times” of his life.
Jane’s Addiction are set to embark on a North American headline tour next month, with support coming from Love & Rockets. Find any remaining tickets here.
Avery reunited with the band in 2022, following his departure in 2010. Navarro was absent from all live dates due to an extended battle with long COVID. In the latter’s absence, he had been replaced on stage by both Queen Of The Stone Age’s Troy Van Leeuwen and former Red Hot Chili Pepper guitarist Josh Klinghoffer.
In other news, Jane’s Addiction were recently joined on stage by Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello in Cologne. The show formed part of Farrell and co’s first UK and European headline tour in eight years.
