Foo Fighters have shared another new song from their album But Here We Are, which is out June 2. “Under You,” which follows “Rescued,” is the second song on an album made after the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins. Listen to it below.
Foo Fighters will also debut songs from the album and more in a streamed studio session on May 21. Titled Foo Fighters: Preparing Music for Concerts, the free stream will begin at 3 p.m. Eastern and repeat on-demand through May 24. Register through Veeps.
The album’s initial announcement noted that the album is a “brutally honest and emotionally raw response to everything Foo Fighters endured over the last year.” The lyrics of “Under You” allude to loss: “I woke up and walked a million miles today/I’ve been looking up and down for you/All this time it still feels just like yesterday/That I walked a million miles with you.”
The band will begin its first proper tour since Hawkins’ death next week. Read “The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert Made Everyone Cry” on the Pitch.
