Briston Maroney made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week to perform the song “Body” from his latest album, Ultrapure.
Taking the stage alongside his band, Maroney delivered an impassioned rendition of the song, singing the chorus’ refrain “Someday, my body will be just a body” in all of its anthemic glory. For the climax, he stepped back to let his guitar do the talking, laying down a chaotic slide guitar solo over the band’s energetic groove. Watch a video of the performance below.
Ultrapure arrived this past September and is the second full-length release from Maroney. His debut album, Sunflower, premiered in 2021, featuring the Manchester Orchestra co-penned song, “Bottle Rocket.” In 2022, he shared the singles “Paradise” and “Harvard,” and last year, he opened for Noah Kahan.
Up next, Maroney has tour dates of his own coming up, including stops in cities like San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, and more. Check out his upcoming dates, and grab tickets here.
