Netflix has released the official trailer for the upcoming second season of the Swedish teen drama Young Royals, which stars Edvin Ryding and Omar Rudberg. The series is scheduled to make its return on November 1.

The Young Royals Season 2 trailer highlights the aftermath following the painful break-up between Wilhelm and Simon as Hillerska resumes its classes. It teases the longing and tension between Wilhelm and Simon as the former’s duty to the monarchy continues to become an issue in their strained relationship.
Young Royals is created by Lisa Ambjörn, Lars Beckung, and Camilla Holter. It stars Edvin Ryding as Prince Wilhelm, Omar Rudberg as Simon, Malte Gårdinger as August, Frida Argento as Sara, Nikita Uggla as Felice, and Pernilla August as Queen Kristina.
“In the second season, winter break has passed and Prince Wilhelm and the rest of his classmates are back at Hillerska,” reads the synopsis. “When Wilhelm tries to take revenge on August and win back Simon’s trust, he creates problems that threaten the entire monarchy.”

Young Royals is written by Ambjörn, Pia Gradvall, Sofie Forsman, Tove Forsman, and Ebba Stymne. Producers are Nexiko’s Lisa Berggren Eyre and Martin Söder, with Nexiko’s Lars Beckung set as an executive producer.
