Pop megastar Taylor Swift is the godmother of actress and model Jaime King‘s son, Leo Thames. They have been close friends for years. However, recent reports claim that the two are no longer on speaking terms. Here’s everything that fans need to know.
Taylor Swift and Jaime King are not on speaking terms, claims report
The US Sun cited a source to claim in a Friday article that Taylor Swift and Jaime King were no longer speaking to each other. “Taylor and Jaime are not close anymore and don’t talk but there is still love,” a source close to King reportedly told the outlet.
The source further stated that despite this, Swift continues to get gifts for Leo and send them to him. “She has always taken her godmother role and duties very seriously and is the most caring and thoughtful person Jaime could’ve asked to be there for Leo,” the source added. “But their relationship is a lot different now than it was back when Jaime asked Taylor to be his godmother.”
The source also stated that Swift would make herself available “in a heartbeat” if Leo required anything from her.
King has appeared in projects such as Pearl Harbor (2001), White Chicks (2004), Sin City (2005), Black Summer (2009-2021), Hart of Dixie (2011-2015), and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014).
Before becoming an actress, King got her start in the modeling industry. She has spoken about the traumatic events she endured during this period.
King and her former husband, director Kyle Newman, have two sons together, named James Knight and Leo. The former was born in 2013, and the latter in 2015. Recently, Newman won sole primary custody of both their sons. The custody order, issued by a Los Angeles court, mentioned that while Newman and King would have joint custody of James and Leo, Newman would have what was referred to as “tie-breaking authority.” The order also mentioned that King would be allowed supervised visitation, given she completed a set of court-mandated tasks. This includes participating in a six-month drug and alcohol program. (via The Los Angeles Times)
