Is Jordan Calloway‘s Jake Crawford leaving Fire Country?
As of now, it is not confirmed whether Jordan Calloway‘s Jake Crawford is leaving Fire Country.
Episode 17, titled “Fire and Ice,” aired on April 11, 2025, showcased a series of ups and downs for Jake. For the unversed, Jake has been feeling uncertain about his future at the station. He is becoming increasingly overwhelmed by the realization that Vince will soon be leaving his position as battalion chief, with Vince’s son Bode set to take over. Additionally, Jake is not happy about Vince allowing Gabriela’s boyfriend, Finn, to ride along with them without informing him first.
Later, he has a deep conversation with Audrey, who shares her plans of improving her skills and moving to the next station for growth. Jake also tries to interrupt a heated argument between Bode and Sharon, but Sharon asks him to stay out of it. However, Jake asks her to take their matter to the house while Sharon reminds him that she is his division chief.
Later, the team leaves for the ski lift malfunction mission. While Bode is grateful to Jake for answering Sharon, the latter reminds him of being equally out of line. The two get into an interesting conversation where Jake mentions that it is not the station they idolize in childhood. Further, Sharon wants a water drop to beat out the fire, but Bode insists on snow cannons supported by Jake.
Despite Sharon’s orders, Jake goes ahead with Bode’s plan, which proves to be successful. However, Sharon is disappointed with Jake for not following her orders and eventually suspends him for a week. Later, Jake tells Audrey he doesn’t want to shatter his probie’s dreams and asks Luke on a phone call when he feels it is time to leave 42.
Jake’s strange question to Luke made fans speculate about his exit from the show. However, neither the actor nor the makers have addressed the same. It will be interesting if Jake exits 42 after his suspension or decides to prove himself.
