William Lipton stars in new The Runarounds trailer arriving next month
Amazon Prime Video has released the official trailer for The Runarounds, a new series starring General Hospital alum William Lipton. All eight episodes will premiere on September 1, 2025.
The Runarounds follows a group of recent high school graduates. During the summer after graduation, they form a rock band. The group includes Charlie (William Lipton), Neil (Axel Ellis), Topher (Jeremy Yun), Bez (Zendé Murdock), and Wyatt (Jesse Golliher). Together, they chase stardom while navigating love, friendship, and setbacks.
The trailer also features a performance of their popular single “Funny How The Universe Works,” available on streaming platforms.
William Lipton, who played Cameron on General Hospital for several years starting in 2018, stars alongside his real-life bandmates in the Prime Video show. The band originally formed in 2021 after creators Jonas Pate, Josh Pate, and Shannon Burke issued a casting call for Outer Banks. The five members first appeared together in a Season 3 episode of Outer Banks. They later toured, released an EP, and performed on General Hospital in 2022.
The show features Lilah Pate, Brooklyn Decker, Maximo Salas, Kelley Pereira, Marley Aliah, Mark Wystrach, Hayes MacArthur, and Shea Pritchard. The production team filmed it in Wilmington, North Carolina, and Amazon MGM Studios and Skydance Television produced the series.
While talking about the show, Lipton had earlier said, “Since I was a very, very young kid growing up doing acting and music, my biggest dream role was something that involved heavy music and heavy acting… and it’s been the best.” (via TV Insider)
The series will release its original soundtrack on September 1 alongside the premiere.
