There is a massive buzz among fans around Prabhas’ upcoming film Salaar. The movie is just a day away from its release in theaters, and fans are not leaving any stone unturned in expressing their excitement. However, this recently took an unfortunate turn as fans allegedly crowded a Hyderabad theater. As a result, the police had to use their batons to control the crowd.
Prabhas’ movies after Baahubali 2 failed to impress movie buffs. Saaho, Radhe Shyaam, and Adipurush were highly criticized for their plot or production. Therefore, fans have high expectations of Salaar as it marks a collaboration between the actor and filmmaker Prashanth Neel. Advance bookings for the film in India began a few days back, and the movie has already earned millions.
Prabhas’ fans crowd a theater to buy Salaar tickets, video goes viral
Fans have been standing in long queues to grab tickets for the film’s premiere. As per Hindu Tamil, a few videos of fans crowding a theater in Hyderabad have gone viral on social media. The videos alleged that a massive crowd of Prabhas’ fans visited a theater in the Kukkatpally area to buy Salaar tickets. However, the crowd was getting out of control, and the police had to step in. They allegedly used batons to disperse the crowd because there was a heavy push there.
Salaar is set to hit the theaters on December 22, 2023. Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan play the key roles in the film. Prashanth Neel has hinted that the movie is an emotional drama between two friends who turn enemies.
The film will face competition from Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki at the box office. Amid the battle, the distributors of both movies are trying to grab as many shows as possible. Allegedly, several shows of the SRK starrer were canceled in Pune.
