Against the picturesque backdrop of New Orleans, Netflix has unveiled the trailer for the upcoming eighth season of the hit reality series Queer Eye. Sadly, although the rest of the Fab Five will be appearing in Season 8, it will also be Bobby Berk’s final season.
Set to return on the streamer on January 24, 2024, the trailer highlights the “heroes” who will receive an emotional makeover from the five experts. This includes a coach and teacher, a former nun, an outdoorsman, and a Kiss superfan.

Ahead of the show’s renewal for Season 9 just last year, Berk announced his departure from the series through a lengthy Instagram post.
“It’s with a heavy heart that I announce that season 8 will be my final season on Queer Eye. It’s not been an easy decision to be at peace with, but a necessary one. Although my journey with Queer Eye is over, my journey with you is not. You will be seeing more of me very soon,” Berk’s Instagram post reads.
Who will replace Bobby Berk?
As of this writing, Netflix has not yet announced Berk’s replacement as the show’s resident interior designer. Bravo’s Queer Eye for the Straight Guy reboot premiered back in 2018 and has since included Berk as part of the Fab Five since its inception.
Alongside Berk, the four other hosts serve in their respective designations and expertise, including Antoni Porowski for food and wine, Jonathan Van Ness for grooming, Tan France for fashion, and Karamo Brown for culture and lifestyle. Together, the Fab Five help various heroes improve their current life situation, “one emotional makeover at a time.”
Season 9 will be filmed in Las Vegas. All seven seasons of Queer Eye are available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
