During Gamescom Opening Night Live, NetEase and Marvel Games announced the release date for its PVP shooter Marvel Rivals. Additionally, playable heroes Captain America and Winter Soldier, and the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda map were revealed.
When does Marvel Rivals officially release?
The newest Marvel Rivals trailer revealed it will officially launch on December 6, 2024. The team-based PVP shooter along with its large cast of iconic heroes and villains will be free-to-play.
“We are ecstatic to be part of this year’s gamescom and the opportunity to connect with players from all across Europe,” stated Ethan Wang, Senior Vice President, NetEase, Inc. “We are now entering the final stages of development as we march towards our December 6th release.”
As seen in the trailer, Captain America and the Winter Soldier are the latest character reveals. The Winter Soldier’s main attack looks to be a powerful pistol. He can also use his cybernetic arm as a grappling hook to bring his foes in or charge it up for a devastating attack. Captain America looks like a solid defensive option with his ability to block and deflect shots with his iconic shield.
