Queen of Tears Episode 15: Kim Ji-Won finally remembers Kim Soo-Hyun
The latest Queen of Tears Episode 15 began with Baek Hyun-Woo reading the diary that Hae-In gave him ahead of the operation. However, after his arrest, Eun-Seong found the diary on the floor. He then burnt the diary and left. But as fate would have it, it started snowing soon after, and the diary remained safe. Eun-Seong further fed false information about Hyun-Woo to Hae-In. He also replaced himself instead of Hyun-Woo while talking about injuring his hand during their accident in Germany.
Eun-Seong also lied that Hae-In tried to kill herself after finding out about Hyun-Woo’s affair. Meanwhile, Hyun-Woo sought the help of his lawyer friend Kim Yang-Gi to prove him innocent. The following day, Hae-In met her family members and offered to have a meal with them later. As they opposed Hyun-Woo, Hae-In slammed Hyun-Woo’s behavior, unaware that Eun-Seong had fed her lies. On their way back, Hae-In offered to stay in her own house so she could recall her memories.
Eun-Seong, on the other hand, argued with his mother Mo Seul-Hee. He discovered she was behind Hae-In’s accident in Germany and warned Seul-Hee not to cross the lines. Eun-Seong promised to stay by Hae-In’s side and challenged his mother to go to any extent to stop it, even if it meant killing her son. Meanwhile, Hae-In found the MP3 player in Hyun-Woo’s room, reflecting on their shared interests. Hae-In’s father, Hong Beom-Jun, heard from the detective team he appointed to follow Hae-In.
Hae-In went to meet Hyun-Woo in prison. Hyun-Woo promised not to give up, but Hae-In didn’t want to see him anymore. However, her heart fluttered due to Hyun-Woo’s concern for her. The two headed to the company together the following day, fueling more rumors about their marriage. Hae-In’s employees thanked her for graciousness towards them as she re-appointed her secretary, Na. Meanwhile, Hyun-Woo’s friends began investigating Pyeon Seong-Uk’s murder ahead of his hearing.
On the day of his hearing, Kim Yang-Gi revealed that the killer wore a green fibred cloth, the strand of which was found in the knife used for the writer. However, Hyun-Woo never wore green clothes. Yang-Gi deduced using CCTV camera footage that the killer stole the knife from Hyun-Woo’s house. More evidence included the killer burning the clothes, which had traces of the same green fiber, and the killer’s phone, which was crucial evidence of the crime scene. Eventually, Hyun-Woo was acquitted as they caught the killer.
After Hyun-Woo came out, he visited his family in Yongduri while Hae-In followed him with Secretary Na, taking notes of his behavior. Back at the hospital in Germany, a cleaner found the diary, and the team decided to ship it to Hae-In as per Yang-Gi’s request. The village celebrated Hyun-Woo’s release from prison as Hong Beom-Ja confessed her feelings to Young-Song. Back at Queens Group, Eun-Seong realized that the LPs in New York were voting for his dismissal, a plan orchestrated by his mother Mo Seul-Hee.
Eun-Seong tried to invest more using the late Chairman Hong Man-Dae’s secret fund, which was an advantage to the Hong family. They could now accuse him of embezzlement. Hyun-Woo revealed that Cheon Da-Hye gave him a hard drive, proving Eun-Seong’s two-trillion investment fraud to take over Queens Group. In a flashback scene, Da-Hye’s ex-husband tried abducting her. However, Soo-Cheol fought them while also suffering injuries. Eventually, he and Da-Hye confess their love for each other, giving this couple a happy ending.
Hae-In and Hyun-Woo had an initial conversation. But later, Hae-In received an invite to the aquarium where Hyun-Woo previously proposed to her. Hae-In had previously booked the aquarium to propose to Hyun-Woo before she lost her memories. She saw Hyun-Woo had arrived on her invitation. The two watched their wedding video, and Hyun-Woo received pre-arranged flowers and a proposal letter from Hae-In. Hyun-Woo requested her to doubt Eun-Seong’s intentions. Hae-In also saw Hyun-Woo’s injured hand, suspecting foul play.
Hae-In went to meet Eun-Seong, but he was drunk. He proposed the two leave for the US. When he went inside, Hae-In discovered how he’d installed a hidden camera and had monitored everything, including Seul-Hee drugging Man-Dae in his tab. She also saw that Eun-Seong’s hand, which had no injury marks. Hae-In realized Eun-Seong was dangerous and had been lying to her. She headed home and called Hyun-Woo to talk. Hae-In then found the parcel from Germany and opened it to find the diary.
Hae-In finally read everything about her and Hyun-Woo’s relationship. She realized her love for Hyun-Woo and ran to meet him. On her way, she emotionally apologized to Hyun-Woo for hurting him. Eventually, as the two locked eyes on opposite ends of a crossroad, a bus arrived to abduct Hae-In.
