Apple TV+ has released the official Shrinking trailer for the upcoming comedy drama, featuring How I Met Your Mother alum Jason Segel, who stars as a therapist dealing with the death of his wife. The series will be available for streaming on January 27 with the first two episodes.
The video features Segel’s Jimmy as he struggles to cope with the loss of his wife, leading him to break down during his therapy sessions with clients. However, this results in him having a major breakthrough with how he’ll help his clients. It also teases Harrison Ford’s character, who’ll help Jimmy face his problem.

Shrinking will be a 10-episode comedy written and executive produced by Segel, Bill Lawrence, and Brett Goldstein, with Bill Lawrence set as the showrunner. The series stars Segel, Ford, Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Michael Urie, Luke Tennie, and Lukita Maxwell.
“It follows a grieving therapist (played by Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks,” reads the synopsis. “Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives…including his own.”
Shrinking will also be executive produced by Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer. It will be produced by Warner Bros. Television and Lawrence’s studio-based Doozer Productions as part of Lawrence’s overall deal with Warner Bros. TV.
