Netflix has released a new Hit Man trailer for filmmaker Richard Linklater‘s latest movie, which is led by Glen Powell. The film is set to debut in select theaters on Friday, May 24, and on the streaming platform on Friday, June 7.
“Inspired by an unbelievable true story, a strait-laced professor discovers his hidden talent as a fake hit man,” reads the movie’s synopsis. “He meets his match in a client who steals his heart and ignites a powder keg of deception, delight, and mixed-up identities.”

Hit Man was directed and co-written by Richard Linklater and co-written by Glen Powell, who also stars in the film. It also stars Adria Arjona as Madison, Austin Amelio as Jasper, Retta as Claudette, Sanjay Rao as Phil, Molly Bernard as Alicia, Evan Holtzman as Ray, and Gralen Bryant Banks as Sergeant Hank.
