Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment has announced the Joker: Folie À Deux 4K, Blu-ray, and digital release dates for the musical sequel to the 2019 acclaimed DC movie. This comes after more than two weeks since the Joaquin Phoenix-led movie made its theatrical debut.
“The film finds Arthur Fleck institutionalized at Arkham awaiting trial for his crimes as Joker. While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love, but also finds the music that’s always been inside him,” reads the official synopsis.
When is the Joker: Folie À Deux 4K, Blu-ray & digital release dates?
Joker: Folie À Deux will be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting on October 29. It will then be followed by its 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD release on December 17. Unlike the first installment, the sequel failed to live up to box office expectations. The film has only earned a gross of over $190 million, which is significantly low compared to the 2019 movie’s $1 billion box office haul. It also garnered negative reviews from critics and audiences alike.
