Amazon Studios has released two Cassandro clips from the upcoming biographical drama, starring Gael García Bernal as the titular luchador. Following its world premiere at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, the film is now playing in select theaters.
The two clips feature Grammy winner Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio aka Bad Bunny as he portrays the role of Felipe. In the both videos, Bernal’s character can be seen trying to flirt with the Puerto Rican rapper. The film will be available for streaming on September 22, exclusively on Prime Video.

What to expect in Cassandro?
“In the film, Saúl Armendáriz, a gay amateur wrestler from El Paso, rises to international stardom after he creates the character ‘Cassandro,’ the “Liberace of Lucha Libre.” In the process, he upends not just the macho wrestling world, but also his own life,’ reads the synopsis.
Cassandro is directed by Roger Ross Williams from a screenplay he co-wrote with David Teague. Joining Bernal and Bad Bunny are Roberta Colindrez, Perla de la Rosa, Joaquín Cosío, and Raúl Castillo.
It is produced by Gerardo Gatica, Todd Black, David Bloomfield, Ted Hope, and Julie Goldman. The executive producers are Bernal, Paula Amor, Mariana Rodríguez Cabarga, A. Müffelmann, Matías Penachino, David Teague, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch.
