Netflix has officially welcomed the addition of William Fichtner (Prison Break, Mom), Mikaela Hoover (Superman, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3), Seoyeon Jang (Butterfly), and K-Pop star BM of the co-ed group KARD to the Beef Season 2 cast. Fichtner and Hoover will reportedly portray a wealthy married couple, while BM is set to play a former tennis player running the country club’s tennis shop. As for Jang, she is expected to become the personal translator of the club’s billionaire owner.
Who is in the Beef Season 2 cast?
Following the critical success of Steven Yeun and Ali Wong’s performances in Season 1, Beef Season 2 will now be led by a new batch of acclaimed actors in the form of Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman), Oscar Isaac (Ex Machina), Charles Melton (May December), and Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla). Award-winning South Korean stars Youn Yuh-jung (Minari, Pachinko) and Song Kang-Ho (Parasite) have also signed on to the show, which will consist of eight 30-minute-long episodes.
“A young couple witnesses (Spaeny, Melton) an alarming fight between their boss (Isaac) and his wife (Mulligan), triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner (Youn),” reads the official logline for Season 2.
The series is created and executive produced by Lee Sung Jin, who is also serving as the showrunner. Yeun and Wong are returning as executive producers alongside Jake Schreier, Kitao Sakurai, Ethan Kuperberg, Anna Ouyang Moench, Mulligan, Isaac, Melton, and Spaeny. It is a production by A2.
