Anne Hathaway is in the midst of a style renaissance that’s thanks in part to stylist Erin Walsh. After years in the public eye, recent red carpets have shown the actor embracing a more daring sense of style, experimenting with everything from a pink Valentino minidress to a rainbow polka-dot Christopher John Rogers set. But not everything can be captured by paparazzi. Enter: Walsh’s TikTok, which has proven to be a hub of exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage showing quick clips from some of Hathaway’s best looks in recent memory, including her plunging Met Gala gown held together by golden paper clips, and a dazzling hooded ensemble from a Bulgari event in Venice.
Walsh began posting to TikTok in August 2022, but she didn’t start sharing some of her professional work with Hathaway until this past January. Since then, she’s taken her followers with her to award ceremonies, campaign shoots, and fashion shows. Walsh has walked them through some of her favorite styling moments, including plenty of fun candids with Hathaway.
“I think the lesson is you go big or you go home, and sometimes a big risk pays off,” Walsh said on TikTok in reference to Hathaway’s head-to-toe leopard-print outfit at the Valentino Couture show. Walsh has also shown herself pulling together Hathaway’s monochromatic purple look in Tokyo, her crocodile Versace minidress, and her white sequined Armani Privé gown at the Cannes Film Festival. That’s not to mention the backstage footage of Hathaway’s Versace campaign, featuring monogrammed robes and matching coffee tumblers.
In addition to Hathaway, Walsh’s clientele includes Adriana Lima, Lucy Hale, Sydney Sweeney, and Ashley Park. Walsh was recently named one of Hollywood’s most powerful stylists by The Hollywood Reporter, and for the spotlight, Hathaway said, “Erin sees my idiosyncrasies as a strength.” Hathaway went on to say how she appreciates the fashion risks Walsh encourages, letting her explore and try new things. “I’ve never had this much fun — and it’s supposed to be fun, right?”
