Selena Gomez is spending her New Year in Cabo, Mexico, with besties Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz. The newlyweds spent their Christmas in the States with the Peltz family in Florida, though Brooklyn’s parents Victoria and David shared their traditional pajama shot from London, saying they “missed him.”
As they touched down in Los Cabos, the trio of friends disembarked in comfortable traveling clothes, Gomez wearing all black and carrying a matching “Over The Moon” bag by Louis Vuitton with gold hardware on one shoulder. They then headed to a car and on to their weekend of fun and sun together.
Gomez has a pretty tight-knit social circle, and though she is single, she is supposedly looking towards 2023 with optimism when it comes to dating. A source recently told Entertainment Tonight, “Selena is feeling positive and optimistic.”
They added, “She is open to dating.”
Brooklyn and Nicola have been enjoying being a new couple this year, though there has allegedly been a rift between the young heiress and her mother-in-law. In a recent interview with The Times, she addressed the supposed feud which was rumored to have begun over Nicola’s choice of wedding attire. She did not wear a dress from one of Victoria’s designs, but Nicola insisted it wasn’t a snub — the atelier simply didn’t have time to make it.
“No family is perfect,” she insisted. “It’s not a feud! I keep seeing everywhere that word, ‘feud, feud, feud!?’ I mean, maybe they picked up on something? And now they’re labelling it feud?”
She continued, “I think it all started, and I’ve said this before, because I didn’t end up wearing Victoria’s wedding dress, but the real truth is, I really, really wanted to wear it and I thought it was so beautiful that Brooklyn’s mom got to make that for me! And I was really excited to wear it! And I didn’t end up wearing it. But I, truthfully, was really excited to wear her dress. It makes me sad when I read things that people say I was never planning on wearing it. That’s just not true.”
