With the greatest hits from the Cruel Intentions soundtrack blaring through the speakers, the Park Avenue Armory was, for a half hour, the New Yorkiest place in New York—and that was exactly the point. According to creative director Stuart Vevers, Coach’s fall 2023 collection was meant to honor “individuality, community, and safe spaces where all are free to come as they are—just the way New York City intermingles people from all walks of life.” That included an epic front row, featuring Coach ambassador Lil Nas X in the center, flanked by Ice Spice, and, further to his right, Zoey Deutch and Kate Berlant.—Claire Stern, digital deputy editor
